Primetech MultiNet systems provide crucial communications support during York city flooding

When major flooding hit the North of England over the 2015 Christmas / New Year period it disrupted local communications in complex ways, creating a series of knock-on effects that threatened to make what was already a terrible situation even worse.

During the recent flooding in York city Primetech’s resilient MultiNet mobile satellite broadband systems allowed responder staff to access the internet securely after 3G services became overloaded and to manage National Resilience Enhanced Logistic Support assets held at a Strategic Holding Area (SHA) outside the city.

Emergency Services Show 2015 judged as great success for Primetech

IMG 2568Record numbers of partners, customers and interested emergency services visit Primetech stand

The Emergency Services Show 2015 has seen record numbers of visitors coming to the Primetech stand, and high levels of interest among attendees in the ground breaking technologies on show. These included the Comms-On-The-Move system from C-COM being shown in the UK for the very first time, the MultiNet Comms suite with support drones, and the expanded Primetech Resilient Communications Trailer, which is shortly to go to Norway as part of a contract to improve emergency communications in response to the Breivik mass killings several years ago.
